| Metallic Filter Media |
|
Supported by our "Optilayer" simulation software our team will select the filtering structure most suited to your product and your application:
- for solid/liquid or solid/gas separation
- for liquid/liquid or gas/liquid separation
- for homogenisation of fluids
- which can be cleaned and re-used
- which have mechanical and chemical resistance
- which have maximum life span
To achieve this, Bekaert Advanced Filtration offers a wide range of filter media, mostly available from stock.

Classical Weave: from 5 mm to 30 microns opening |

| Filter sands |
|
Filtration sands are typically used in the spin block for production of synthetic fibre and yarn.
The purpose of this sand is to:
- create an even distribution of heat and pressure before spinning
- shear the gels contained in the polymer.
Depending of the material hardness and shapes of particles, the shearing effect will be high or low.
The shearing effect of filtration sand is mostly ended when polymer has found a preferential way through the sand, this is called the chanelling effect. The more irregular are the shapes of sand, the later appears the chanelling effect.

| Screens |
|
|
The screen is principally intended for the filtration of molten polymers in which Bekaert Advanced Filtration specialises. Consequently, we are able to cater for all of filter requirements in the extrusion field (film, profiles, etc.) and in the manufacture of synthetic fibres

| Filter candles |
|
|
Our metallic filter elements offer the great advantage of being cleanable and re-usable. Our candles are used in most industries and with many varied applications. Details: assembly by welding, crimping or bonding pleated or non-pleated media maximum length without intermediary jointing.

| Filtration systems |
|
|
Bekaert Advanced Filtration designs and develops complete filtration systems, simplex or duplex and inclusive of the filter housing, heating element, filter elements, valves and auxiliary equipment. Custom made systems can be offered for critical applications such as: filtration of polymers and monomers filtration of resins filtration of aggressive chemical products treatment of water under extreme throughput and pressure conditions solid/liquid separation in the food industry hydraulics filtration of hot gasses.
